Africa Trade Policy Research Fellowship (ATPRF)

A flagship fellowship developing the next generation of African trade policy researchers and practitioners, shaping the continent's trade agenda from within.

About Programme

The Africa Trade Policy Research Fellowship (ATPRF) is ATPR's premier capacity-building programme, designed to identify, support and develop emerging African trade policy researchers and practitioners.

Fellows are embedded within ATPR for an intensive period of research, training and mentorship, working on live trade policy projects and engaging with policymakers across Africa.

The programme runs for 9 months across three structured phases: Foundations, Research, and Engagement.

Eligibility

African nationality and continental residence
Minimum Master's degree in law, economics, policy or related field
Demonstrated interest in trade policy research
Strong English writing skills (French is an advantage)
Commitment to the full 9-month period
